Hey guys,
I need some opinions on cameras and thought this would be the perfect place to ask. I'm looking for a decent Digital SLR Camera for a decent price. I'm open to both Canon or Nikon, or any other brand. I just wanted to find out what types of cameras you've all used and which ones you've found to be better than others. Any thoughts? I'd really appreciate any help you can give!

what's your price range?
I'm willing to be a bit flexible, new or used...hoping to not have to spend more than about $1000...I'm looking to use it to take photos for a few weddings, vacation and personal use.
Both my cousin and I bought the Nikon D5000 with an extra zoom lens for under $800. I'm still figuring out all of it's features but my cousin who has had it longer really enjoys it. And I bought it last summer so it's possible the price has dropped more since then. What features are important to you though?
I have used the lower end Canon, but I use the 50D now and its awesome and I would highly recommend it to anyone. I am looking at a Mark 5d ii or a 7D but they run a bit high, and they have HD video, so if you don't need that feature. I would recommend the 50D. I use it all the time for my weddings I shoot.
